Patrick Fitzgerald

Patrick began fundraising "on the mean streets" - in the challenging and fascinating medium of face-to-face. He subsequently managed various phone programs and took certification with the Fundraising Institute of Australia. Over the next decade he led annual and major giving initiatives at Australia's pre-eminent business school, a national mental health charity, a peak-body for community broadcasting and other causes. He was the Chair of Philanthropy on the board of Australia's seminal LGBTQ+ film festival. His extensive volunteering includes work with political parties, conservation groups and telephone support lines. Patrick is now the Director of Fundraising with a progressive, international economics institute and offers freelance fundraising advisory. In 2020 he will begin a Master of Data Science. Patrick is also deeply engaged in yoga philosophy and practice and is excited to be writing his first cabaret in which he will star!
